It’s been an almost impossible task to narrow down nearly 3,500 pieces of art submitted to The American LOVE Project to 12 finalists in each of the three following categories! But here we are!
(1) Adult
(2) Middle and High School
(3) Elementary School.
Please review the 12 finalists in each of the categories.
Then vote for your top three choices in each.
The artist who receives the most votes will be awarded a $250 cash prize and the opportunity for their art to become part of a 29 Pieces product design.
Voting ends midnight January 17. Winners will be announced on January 18.
1. Is there creative spark/an idea in the interpretation of the quote used?
2. Is the quote relevant to the project? Did the artist take the message to heart?
3. Is the composition and overall design strong?
(Based on the quote, or other words chosen. Some may have no words at all).
4. Is there joy, imagination, thought in the artwork?
5. Does the artist show an overall use of color, tone and contrast?
6. Will this piece of artwork be suitable for a 29 Pieces product? Is the image photographed properly, and hi res for reproduction?
7. Are we representing the geographic range of artists from the USA who submitted art to the project?
8. Is there creative use of materials?
9. Is there creative use of typography?
10. Did the artist include an artist’s statement?
11. Are there copyrighted images or characters in the artwork?
